The Calgary International Beerfest brings the beer world together at Canada’s largest beer festival. Rated as one of the best beer festivals in the world, with seven hundred plus beers from two hundred plus breweries and so many innovative destinations within the festival, your biggest challenge will be deciding where to start.
The Calgary International Beerfest is a sampling event. This is an eighteen-plus event, so be sure to bring a government-issued ID.
3. Lilac Festival
Welcome to the 4th Street Lilac Festival
This free one-day event is the start-up to Calgary’s vibrant festival season and encourages citizens to shake off their winter blues and reintroduce themselves to the thriving creative community in our city.
Each spring, thousands of attendees come out to enjoy the unique and pedestrian-friendly 4th Street venue, offering an array of musical talent, artisan vendors, quality entertainment, and some perfect people-watching.

Fiesta Filipino is the biggest cultural festival representing the Filipino community of Calgary and the entire province of Alberta. It is a celebration of the multiculturalism and diversity of the Filipino Community in Calgary, Alberta. This festival gives the community a chance to share their beautiful and colorful heritage with every Albertan and Canadian.
Fiesta Filipino YYC is a non-profit and community-based organization that provides Albertans with the opportunity to experience Filipino-Canadian culture and heritage through year-round programs.
6. GlobalFest
GlobalFest is an annual celebration of Calgary’s multi-cultural communities, featuring pavilions, performances, and international fireworks. Illuminating the sky with a colliding orchestra of light and sound, the 2022 event showcases presentations produced by world-class pyro musical artists hailing from India, Austria, France, and Germany, plus a Canadian-produced finale.
7. Otafest
Otafest is Calgary’s non-profit, all-ages Japanese anime and pop culture festival featuring anime screenings, an exhibitor hall, community panels, cosplay contests, voice actors, concerts, and so much more!
Otafest is an annual anime convention held in May or early July, at the Telus Convention Centre, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The festival features an arcade wherein various PC and console games, among other popular platforms that you can participate in, as they also host exciting tournaments to get your competitive spirit going.
